Welcome to St Thomas Dog Boarding – a friendly, home-based overnight dog boarding service in Higher St Thomas, Exeter.
We’ve been lifelong dog lovers and owners, and we understand just how much care, love, and attention our four-legged friends need. To us, dogs are family – and they deserve to be treated that way.
Over the years, we’ve used traditional kennels for our own dogs but always wished there was a warmer, more homely alternative. So, when we recently retired from running our own accountancy practice, we decided to create exactly the kind of place we’d want for our own dog – a safe, comfortable home-from-home where dogs can relax and be themselves.
We share our home with Tammy, our gentle and sociable miniature poodle, who’s already well-accustomed to welcoming visiting dogs of all shapes and sizes. Being retired means we can give our dogs the time they deserve, including at least two lovely walks a day. Our boarding guests join us for these walks, exploring nearby Cowick Barton, Exwick and Flowerpots playing fields and the scenic paths along the River Exe.
We only board one dog at a time - meaning that our guest gets our full attention, with no risk of emotional or physical conflict with other dogs.
For your peace of mind, we’re fully insured with Public Liability and comprehensive animal care, custody, and control cover, underwritten by Allianz Insurance plc.
